Unless they fixed it, you can engage the boss and run back to the room with the previous boss, and the boss will despawn. You simply run all the way to the small room at the end of the gauntlet and lay down a concecrate and stand in the doorway with the rest of the group inside the room. They will all spawn at once and you don't have to worry about any of the breaths. You just have to sit and wait for the harpooner guys to spawn. That is, if this trick still works.
