Tbh I'm tired of fighting corrupt bosses, that were once good, now serve the lich king/burning legion.

They could easily make a fight similar to Vael in BWL or to Kalecgos in SWP. In the former case the good guy is corrupted and attacks you, though he does have time to give you a buff that helps you defeat him; in the latter case you help fight back the corruption, saving the good guy.
Another possibility is for him to play a role similar to Akama and Maiev in BT, perhaps after you rescue him.

I thought killing Loken would save Thorim. I was bummed that there was no sign of Thorim in Halls of Lightning. I really wanted to rescue him.
Just for once, I want a happy ending. First the dragon in Nexus and now poor ol' Thorim gone missing. Very depressing.
