I'm currently reading
Neuromancer
and damn is it good. The writing style is one of the most interesting I've read; Gibson describes things in this awesome way...it's like he's merging the abstract and the concrete.
Rather literally in that particular book >_>
Lol, true. Didn't even think of that.

So lookin at the latest comments Im thinking... Hunger Games worth reading?
I haven't read them, as the premise doesn't interest me too much - just sounds a lot like Battle Royale, really - but my brother loves them, and he doesn't read often. So, there's that.

I'd at least suggest reading the first one Fathios; give it a try heh. If you can't finish that's fine(read about halfway into the first Twilight book before I had to stop as my mind was bleeding).

Lol I tried the same. Read the first Twilight when my girlfriend was into it. Dear lord that was bad.

So, a book that's going to be released in early May or so has catched my interest, called
The Immortal Rules (Blood of Eden)
, by Julie Kawaga, author of the
Iron Fey
series (which I haven't read but might pick up once I've finished my current backlog). It's basically a young adult dystopian book (inb4 /groan, there aren't enough of those out there already) based on vampires taking over the world and using the surviving humans as blood banks.
Linky.

I have an agreement with my friend; if I read ALL the Twilights, she'll read all the Harry Potters :D Had the first one ordered to our closest library in english, couldn't bear the thought of reading it translated. Not sure if I'm going to make it, we'll see.

So last few days I've been reading the Enemy series by Charlie Higson; standard Teenage Wasteland plot, with a strange disease infecting anyone over the age of 14 who hadn't been born in the last 14 years. The adults teens are turned into cannibals who need to eat children; cliched sounding, but actually really good and well written. Definitely worth a read.

On page 225. Starting to notice pretty heavy mormon influences on the text. It's also starting to get more syrapy...

Dead Beat, from Dresden, or is this some other Dead Beat? :| I've read all of Dresden except Ghost Story because I can't get it yet, if you were referring to that one. /confused

If you can find them, read the two books for Day by Day Armageddon and Beyond Exile; excellent zombie book(there's an omnibus of the two books now).

Ugh. I'm reading
Clockwork Prince
by Cassandra Clare, and it's pretty bad. The main character is one of the biggest Sues I've seen for awhile.
I actually didn't think of it like that I read this. (Partially because I had basically forgotten what a Sue was)
But yeah, I can agree with that. But I do rather like the universe that that series and Mortal Instrument series take place in, so maybe I'm a bit forgiving.

Pretty much. I just finished the Mortal Instruments series a few days ago and thoroughly enjoyed it.
However, I still hate Clary and whatever the name of the person in Infernal Devices in (I forgot, okay? So sue me). Granted, I hate Jace and his expy in the ID too, so...

To be honest, I didn't think my time reading the first two books was well spent. I didn't bother with the third.
The first was good if you read it in the context of what it is as a book. Second was worse, third was awful.
