I just started reading the Eugenics Wars. Pretty good so far.

I almost forgot about it, but I've started re-reading this lately...as long as you don't mind it getting very political at times, Starship Troopers is a very good book. Far better than the movie, which is an exercise in making a script entirely out of action movie one-liners.

okay, you're accepted to the club.

Laihendi was actually asking for a friend.

Still surprised the family friendly church groups leave that book readable in school libraries: after all Beelzebub = Lord of the Flies.

I read a lot of manga, but I want to start to read fantasy novels. With that being said, does anyone know of a series of fantasy novels that would be a good series for a beginner, like myself?
Dresden Files
Elemental Masters by Mercedes Lackey
Dragon Jousters by Mercedes Lackey
Harry Potter
The Warcraft Novels
The Young Wizard series.... well maybe not, the magic in that is really technical heh.
I've got a few of my favorite authors in my profile, have a look there. Just a word of warning, don't choose Lord of the Rings.... that might put you off the fantasy genre.
