Notice the huge increase in Pirates recently.
Has there been an inversely proportional decrease in global warming?

Of course there has. Unfortunately, people mistakenly credit this to some silly 'Go Green' movement.
Also, I'm still awaiting more cultists.

They're not real pirates. They don't have the jolly feel of the true ones.
They aren't rapscallions; merely aquatic thieves.

Since a decent level of care has been observed, I'll go into detail.
The name of my religion is Saneism. It is centered around the belief that humans are born insane, and that we must strife for sanity to lead happy lives.
Oh, and sloths are holy to us.
Our lives are the exact opposite of this. We are born sane and grow up to be insane... We end up being paranoid that a killer is outside, so we have to lock our door at night. We think our house will be robbed when we go out, so we make sure everything is locked up tight. You won't hop in a strangers car if yours breaks down because you think you're going to get raped and left for dead on the side of the road. Most parents think that if a man walks up to their kid, he's a pedophile who's going to stick them in a van and drive away.
You start off sane because you aren't paranoid as a kid. You grow up to be paranoid because of the media.
Your definition of 'insane' is different from ours. Our 'insane' is simply another way to say 'screwed up in the head', which we all are, in our own special ways.

Not really. You'd have to be pretty screwed up in the head to think that out of everyone on the street or in your building, you're going to be the one chosen to be robbed, or that any man that comes up to your kid is a pedophile. I think the media has done a pretty good job at making all middle-eastern people seem like potential terrorists, which most people believe. You would have to be pretty screwed up in the head to believe that one, that's for sure.
We grow up into a state of paranoia, which in turn makes you question your own sanity because that is not sane at all.
Therein lies the problem.
Your 'insanity' is merely paranoia over threats to your life that likely are not present.
Our 'insanity' is just general screwed-up mentality.
Your 'insanity' is merely a subset to ours.

l33tsauce , how bout instead have it be that our belief is not that sanity is the perfect state, but instead we realize that what is seen as sanity is truly insane and that we strive for "perfect insanity" which is a transcendental state where we see the true nature of time as it flows past us, and leave the cares and insanity of the world behind in order to truly experience reality. and we believe sloths are born with "perfect insanity"
:D
That's... brilliant!
I welcome you to the cult of (now renamed to) Insaneism, brotha.

Though I almost fell out of my chair laughing at that, it isn't what we're looking for.
