It's not like it's the GCD hack that altered the last couple weeks of arena season 8.
Oh good lord. Please don't mention that. It's the reason there's a cast queue (thank GOD I can turn that off though).

Interface options --> Combat --> Custom Lag Tolerance (lower it to 0 ms).

Our little guild managed to down Arthas last night. Timing just couldn't be better. Wanted to thank you guys for the suggestions and small tips that were put to good use. Thanks! We were nooby but we did it =)

well, my guild achieved most of what we really wanted to (basically seeing and defeating all the PvE content) but i'm going to have to resign myself to the fact that we're not going to get yogg+1 done. it just came down to difficulty getting a full group together since so many people were taking a break before cataclysm.
still, now it's time to look forward to all the new and awesome stuff on its way!

Astral Walker would have been nice in my guild. But when we were giving it some serious attempts, 4.0.1 was near, causing people to have to relearn their class, not have super-suitable gear anymore all of a sudden, and just starting to slack while waiting for Cata.
Also, 10 or 25-man for yogg+1 asakawa?

Pure 10man. We've been good friends since early tBC. We're a casual guild that only takes anything very seriously once we're in the instance ^_^
I really think we've been ahead of our time given the changes to the game that have occurred since Classic. With each new tier in wrath we've discussed enforcing "10m strict" status (on guildox.com etc.) and even making a separate guild for characters that wanted to do 25m content but it's always been a lot of effort and restriction for so little gain.

The only thing I regret is doing Uld10 meta-achievements on my hunter, when I am making my warlock my main in cata. But I hadn't geared him up yet. Ah well 5k for 310% flying speed it is.

And more importantly, grats to Vorago. Just make sure you turn that title off in BG's at 85. It's not as much of a target as "Battlemaster", but still make me visualise a little skull above your head :)

my tip, if you get a dialog box popup that doesn't say anything, just has a cancel button, sit on it and wait. it will eventually say success

Never had such a dialog box /cry :(
Took me between 30 - 40 mins to get in the game after logging off at midnight :p But I totally wasted the EU headstart, since I didn't get the digital download, nor did I buy the expansion yet (planning on doing that during lunch break).
I only logged in to share the excitement with my guildies, and to try and get the flying license (which ofc you need the expansion for. Typical -_-).
Btw lolz at someone getting realm first cooking at 0030 server time o_O

so, i'm half way through 84 now and found myself slipping into demo for the later uldum quests. i'd been destro before that and even after that i could drop a single mob before it reached me but the consequences of getting an unintended add in uldum (and presumably beyond) meant that the safety of demo helped.
between conflag's daze and shadowfury i found i could kite just about anything as destro, i wasn't having any issues with elites or named mobs. however the high respawn rate sometimes leads to mobs spawning while you're still killing one and demo's better and reacting to those situations.
how is everyone else finding the levelling process for warlocks?
on a more general note i'm absolutely astounded by the new zones. vashj'ir is beautiful, deepholm is awe-inspiring and uldum is cutscene-tastic!
i also got a grey camel mount yesterday. it was a complete surprise to me and it was only after reading up on it that i find it might be somewhat rare. i clicked on what i thought was a quest object and it turned out to be a rare camel figurine that has a chance to teleport you to a boss. w00t ^_^
