Day of reckoning? Going all doomsday style about 4.0.6? o_O

It's a joke. But a lot of locks have been complaining about 4.0.6...so...

I won't spare their lives until we get a pet fix, Demo should use FG Afflo Felpup and Destro Imp. Fix that and I'll be happy.

I'll agree with the first part (and Destro seems to use Imp anyways). I actually wouldn't mind if Affliction had a pet varied pet choice (they kinda do now iirc) or something. That would be neat.

I fixed that with putting my pet on passive and macroing /petattack to most of my abilities.

Slight downside to that is if I want to keep my pet on the boss while nuking e.g. an add.

Ofc all of this is moot if you just meant the FG randomly charging a mob that's far away, including feared ones (doesn't break my fear luckily)

the issue with that is actually the imp.
if you spam /petattack (which is in your incinerate macro or whatever) then your imp will constantly recast his firebolt and never actually get one off. all other (melee) pets just go and attack.

i had pets on passive and the lines:
/cast firebolt
/petattack

but this still leads to odd behaviour since the melee pets,even when on passive, will keep attacking when told to /petattack until that target is dead while the imp will cast the firebolt he's told to then stop.

i've tried various workarounds which all lead to either pets breaking fears but doing good DPS or pets being safe but me losing their DPS to different degrees. the answer is that blizzard needs to !@#$ing fix it before i quit and play rift.

I noticed even enslaved demons have better AI when it comes to Fear. They actually stop attacking, while my imp thinks the skull over its head is a raid marker for the focus target.

I actually had my doomguard stopping his attacks on a target due to BoD having expired. When I noticed and refreshed, he didn't go back in ...

I'm glad someone else is calling it Afflo. :D Brings a sense of unity to the three specs--O.

As for pet AI, instead of putting /petattack on a nuke or something, i usually put it on my opener or the spell that I keep refreshed (which, for better or worse, I do my full rotation even on trash) so that usually keeps me from having casting issue mentioned a bit back.

I wonder who your pet would attack if you put /petattack on Hellfire, and cast the spell on some trash without targeting any of them...
