does a tankadin's weapon speed affect his aggro in anyway? like a warrior's does?
i'm under the impression that 90% of a paladins threat comes from his spdmg, and weapon speed doesnt really play TOO big a deal.

Unless you're using SoR, not really. SoV is PPM, and your white damage with a one-hander doesn't really matter.

faster weapon has a benefit of returning more mana with JoW on the target
it also allows for more consistent damage output because even if you miss, it has less of an impact than a slow weapon
but in the end, you're looking for spell damage for threat

A fast weapon is only needed if you are Horde, otherwise it doesn't matter.

SoV deals damage on hit with 5 stacks

If your using Seal of Righteousness, a fast weapon like
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=33283
is good due to it being able to proc Judgement of Wisdom/Light more often.
If your using Seal of Vengeance, as i tend to do, 1.60 is too fast to reliably keep the stack up and you can loose it.
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=34611
is a good, 1.90 speed, all round tankadin weapon for using both Seals, inferior to Amani Punisher but definatly more reliable for Seal of Vengeance.

actually, the chance to lose Vengeance are:
0.43577544312804239246198884251791%
0.3044271998140160999954563738757%
accordingly
0.1% is not something to fret about

Everything helps. You can prebuff Seal of Vengeance with Avenging Wrath for a very powerful DoT, which is why i like it so much. Loosing the stack results in reappling, loosing you threat overall.

but you have to take into account that you're trading off 12 spell damage, 2 spell hit rating and 3 stamina (unless you use 15 stamina gems) for 0.1% chance
*shrug*
