"Point," Asher conceded, and vanished into the house. He returned a few moments later with a set of keys. "I doubt he'll mind us borrowing his car if it means we're saving his life," he mentioned, unlocking the SUV and getting into the front seat. "Let's move."

"Oh, my apologies," Mr. Hé said with a polite smile. "I shall say no more until we meet Mr. Zhang."
After a moment, the doors opened to reveal a utilitarian hallway. The floor and walls were burnished steel, while fluorescent light panels illuminated their path. At the end of the hall was what appeared to be a reception room. A woman sat behind a steel desk, which curved from wall to wall like a bunker. She had blonde hair, steely blue eyes, an iron grey suit and was currently engaged in typing at a rapid fire speed.
Leaning against the wall next to her was none other than the Irishman. "Mr. Zhang is waiting for you," he said, nodding respectfully to Hé.
"Thank you, Mr. Finnegan," Hé replied. "If you would follow me," he said to the other two, and opened the door next to Finnegan and beckoned them inside.

Azuka could not believe her eyes. Sitting in front of her were three humans with superhuman powers. Either she was crazy, dreaming, or somehow ended up in an alternate dimension. All that mumbo jumbo could not exist, could it?
Something began to well up inside of her. Was it anger, fear, sadness? Even Azuka could not understand her own emotions. She clasped her hands together, pretending to be normal, yet as soon as her fingertips came near each other, electricity arced between them, lighting up the dark room around her. Azuka yelped, yanking her hands back, yet that only caused a longer electrical arc to form between hands. In a flash, the arc dissipated, and the room fell dark again.
“I guess you’re not the only ones with powers. Are there . . . more of us?” Azuka said in disbelief.

Akane took a leap of faith and screamed in terror, she rolled over her shoulder and ended up rolling like a barrel for a few feet before stoping inelegantly on a wall with her feet up and head and shoulders on the ground.

After the martial artist got up to her feet she bowed to the masked character. "Thank you. Where are we going now?" Akane asked. A quick glance she gave the elevator, she turned her head back with slightly wider eyes, to see how close one was to death was a frightening thing indeed for Nanashi Akane.
