Ofc it is and you shouldnt be even thinking about immo trap. Ditch immolation trap of your UI. Use Explosive trap and only explosive trap. Explosive trap is back to being better than BA on stationary fights.
Bear s are amazing at holding threat on multiple targets because of their .
Which does 200 threat divided by number of targets. Truly amazing.

I find BA to be better than ET on single targets (while ET costs less focus, BA does more damage and benefit from Toxicology, and you'll waste some time throwing ET out), once you get multiple targets ET becomes better, though. Kripparrian also mentions that in the clip you link:
It did more damage before nerf.
Also the true purpouse of firing BA isnt its damage (as its quite pitiful) but the chance to proc LnL.
And on chance to proc LnL Explosive trap wins.
Why?
It has chance when dealing initial damage along with 10 ticks 2s each resulting in 11 chances over 20s per cd.
Black arrow does only 5 ticks over 15s (each 3s). 11 > 5 for my taste.

If there is no other hunter and boss stays in place for the duration of it - its clearly better single target as well.

I dont really get your spec, I know there is some room to play with the cookie cutter, but I think your spec is prioritizing all the wrong things. Increased stam is not a bad option, if your healers are struggling, but increased ap from aspect of the dragonhawk isnt as important as trap/BA resistance, or more focus for your pets.

Also, unless something has dramatically changed, your ferocity pet spec is off, the bottom should be 1 wild hunt, 1 shark attack. Let me know if something has changed enough for me to be wrong on that.

Edit(again) answered my own question.

Just to clarify, you should add Windserpent or Dragonhawk, as both special abilities are exactly the same and provide the same debuff. It is one of the few places where this new setup provides the hunter with a choice. Of course, I have yet to see a hunter aside from a level 10 Belf with a dragonhawk, but some may prefer it.

Also, beetles now have the exact same ability as turtles, so you might want to call them out as well.

I really think, rather than listing just 3, you should list all the pets with viable raid buffs/debuffs. NO hunter LIKES using a ravager (maggotroach), but every hunter should be prepared to bring one if needed. I would also mention the raptor and the hyena, because if you are trying to be comprehensive, you should be comprehensive. Serpent is optional, since the debuf it provides is better brought by a raptor. After all, the pet isnt really about what is best for the hunter anymore, it is about what is best with the raid. While you can certainly prioritize pets that give you the bigger buff, if those 3 are already covered be prepared to fill in any gap.

There is no point just mentioning some of the rep gear, again, if you are going to bring it up bring it all up. For example, I personally would not put Dragonmaw/Wildhammer as a priority at all. They were my last exalted, and would be again if I were doing it over. Ok, they have a helm, big deal. Each other faction has 2 or more hunter pieces, 2>1. Also, by the time you get the Dragonmaw/Wildhammer helm you are level 85, and IF you have gotten the other factions first, you have a substantial number of 333 pieces, allowing you to run heroics. Heroics give you the option of other 346 gear. It is a personal choice, but I think getting the rep that lets you into heroics (for raid ready gear in every slot) is a better option than one piece of raid ready gear.

Of course, this is mearly about SV post 4.0.6, so there is really no need to mention gear at all.

So I just do bring mastery up close to the crit % and just like about 1-1.5% below the crit % for the mastery. Then it still going good that i got 14k dps on my recount in 5m dungeon last night. I got 20% crit and 18.87 mastery.

just small problem is that mastery didn't effect the Snake Trap for the DoT. So I saw 17 dmg each tick by snake's poison DoT at lvl 85. I was like "why is that still low for the lvl 85?". O well drop that snake trap off the action bar.

I tested Explosive Trap on a dummy and it was worse than the Black Arrow, but of course it's an awesome AOE for adds like Lava Parasites and Aberrations.
Can you post the results of those tests? If you tested that why you even post about Immolation trap?
I find it quite confusing to find ability that does 5 ticks (chances to proc LNL) over 15s better than ability that does 11 ticks over 20 seconds. Why exactly you find it better?
