Survival for Raids

Currently lvling a hunter and wondering if raiding as survival is possible. I like survival alot, not rly sure why and BM really does not apeal to me at all. Surely survival gives alot to raid such as brilliant traps, expose weakness as wel sa good dps. Also dont lie the fact that with BM it feels like my pet is doing all the work and im preety useless if it dies due to aoe or summit.
Also im kinda unsure about what stats to look for as survival. A guild hunter told me that i should try to aim for big agility and ap like on

but i also see alot of survival hunters dwing. What is better??

pay no attention to this post due to the fact you are losing 80 ap!! you
will get more crit and less ap, so you will be doing less dps with those
dual wielding weaps than Legacy. Currently Legacy is one of the best
2 handers we can get. and if you are looking for a spec try this one.

i still don't understand why people would spec into the survival tree and not put points into trap mastery. it is IMO a very useful skill in this tree. i would get rid of scatter shot and detterance and put these 2 points into something a lil more useful
Not to mention only 2/3 surefooted along with taking scatter shot and wyvern sting AND Imp. Wing Clip and not taking Monster Slaying... oh, he took resourcefulness too =/ Although he might be trying for a cross between pvp and pve /shrug
