[Suggestion] Upgrade Item

In alot of the comments section of many items you will see people linking possible upgrades. What I'd like to see is a new tab with possible upgrades from that item in a nice neat list. This is different from side-by-side comparisons, as most of the items in the "Upgrade This" tab would be too obvious (but maybe not easy to find) to be useful in side-by-side.
It could possibly be done with player votes on an item->upgrade, and the highest 10 voted items get listed or whatever.

I believe the wow site itself has something like this. I haven't used it yet though. The problem is with their site is that its grossly bloated, and often freezes my browser for a while before loading correctly. I dont need that every time I want to look for an upgrade ;D

Interesting...we have a few things we want to get finished before we start exploring into this area, but it's definitely an interesting idea.

WoWArmory isn't really helpful with this feature, but it can show me a BT/HS drop as an upgrade for my greenie I got as soon as I hit 70. Kind of hard to get. I would vote the "Upgrade" section to show only items with level around the level of the item, maybe +5/+10.

+5/+10 would be more in the category where item comparison would better fit and help. Also, you would have to account for item quality. You will often find a blue better than a green with less item lvl attached.
It would be best to let people vote on items like they do posts, rather than have code-logic seek out possible upgrades, as live people are going to have a much greater experience in what would be the next step up according to where one is in the game when one might recive/find any item. That would take way too much involved work to get correctly automagicaly, and item levels are much too vuege.
For instance, I really dont want to sort through Naxx/Q items to find a realistic upgrade. because I will never ever do those instances in my life at this point. lol

In some occasions however, Naxx items are still on par with TBC ones (depending on what you have). They will be voted up by players, and so you'll end up with them getting suggested anyway.
