[Suggestion] DrDamage-like Character Profiler

Granted that I do not know what your character profiler is going to look like, or what features that you might already have in the works. However, after having used Ctprofiles and and the Wowdigger character profiler, I thought that I would make a suggestion that is probably very difficult to implement, but I think would help make your character profiler superior to the others.
Other character profilers show you what your stats will be if you equip certain sets of gear, which is great, but you don't get to see (unless you do calculations on your own, or use a third party tool: spreadsheet or website) what impact that gear set has on your abilities/spells.
My suggestion is based on what an addon called DrDamage does. In-game, DrDamage puts numbers on your buttons. You can configure what numbers are shown. I play a warlock, so I have my average damage, including crits, displayed on a button. This way, I know how much damage my spells will do against a raid boss (I think you have to tell DrDamage what level mob you are fighting). DrDamage also dynamically changes the average damage number based on buffs and debuffs, on you and the mob you are fighting.
What I would like to see is a character profiler that shows how my gear choices affect the average damage that I will do with my spells, in a raid situation. For example, if I add 40 spell damage and 15 crit rating, but have to give up 12 spell hit (and lets say this takes me below the cap) and 12 spell haste rating, what happens to the average damage that my shadow bolt does? And then, what happens if a Draenie shaman joins my party and I get his/her 1% spell hit buff, and we get the mob debuffed with Curse of Shadows, by a warlock with 3/3 talent points in Malediction?
DrDamage, actually does this calculation in game, but you have to have the gear to see the differences. Perhaps there is an opportunity to contact the author and leverage all the tremendous work that he has done in order to take character profiling to the next level (alternatively, you could do all the calculations yourself, I just think that it would be A LOT of work to get right) kind of like what you did to Thottbot, when you created Wowhead.com and, at least in my option, made it a vastly superior resource for gathering item/quest information.
Cheers.

Hehehe--I'm not giving away any of our secrets yet. But we're definitely excited about what we've got in store. :)

WoWHead Guys,
Here is a link to someone else's site that has kinda implemented what I suggested to you a couple of weeks back:
http://ravencrest-us.warcrafter.net/Gregoire?b=0D0O0a141H1t
On this site you can kind of see how my abilities improve (in my case dps increases) as I improve my gear and/or add buffs (don't think that they have debuffs, yet). Anyway, the reason I am posting an external link that this is the closest thing that I have seen to what I was trying to suggest when I originally posted. I have no issues if you remove the link, its just easier for me to explain my suggestion now that someone else has kinda implemented it. The reason I say "kinda implemented" is that I think the UI could be a bit better. Also, to be fair, the site linked above is beta.
I hope that either you already have better for us in the works, or that this helps to better explain my original suggestion.
Cheers.
