Spell haste

I'm looking for some theorycrafting on how spell haste works and its calculations..
Using a frost bolt with 2.5 seconds cast time, X spell haste should reduce the cast time by y %? Is that correct and if so what is required for 1% spellhaste?

15.7 points of spell haste = 1% spell haste
New speed = Old Speed / (1+Haste%)
Note: haste in the form of 30% = 0.3
So 10 spellhaste would be 0.64%
On your frostbolts new speed = 2.5 / (1+0.0064) = 2.484 seconds
You are wrong. I dont know where you got the idea, that the new speed would be calculated by dividing the old speed by 1+haste%, but it is definetly not correct.
It is actually calculated by multiplying the old speed by 1-haste%.
x (1-haste%) = new speed
So if you have 157 haste, making you a 10% decrease in cast time --> ur frostbolts new speed = 2,5 x 0,9 = 2,25 secs.

Where are you getting your information? From the look of the
haste page on WoWWiki
he's right and you're wrong.
I'm getting my information from
this thread
in which I asked about it and got an answer. It seems that its not just me who's wrong.
