Simple combat log ? alteratives?

Is there any way to get simple combat log or something like it back for 2.4? The new combat log is not as bad as the old one but its still garbage compared to simple combat log :( It is still very spammy since you cant just make it say Melee 315, Unless I am missing something. Anyone have any other ones that work with 2.4?

Even with the changes, I still use
Eavesdrop
for the purposes of useful combat damage/healing in/out information.
