i'm a rouge should i go scryer or aldor
As a combat swords rogue I went Aldor, because 1) neither had any profession recipes for me, and 2) I liked their shoulder enchant better.
But I think it depends on your spec and professions. Check out
WoWWiki
, it helped me a lot.

Aldor.
Vindicator's brand is a good starting point until you save up the arena points or DKP for a high-end main hand. The aldor shoulder enchant is also slightly superior (and by slightly I mean extremely minimally).
Scryer still isn't a bad choice though. Socrethar's girdle is solid, and you won't notice the difference between the shoulder enchants.
