Retribution Stats

According to all the theorycraft etc, ive heard that around 25% crit chance is a fairly good level to stay at, and then start stacking the other stats that you need instead.
I was just wondering what other retribution paladins think on this matter, since i used to have an insane crit chance which i have now reduced and seen a fair increase in my DPS, but i am worried that if i lower it any more it my DPS might go backwards.
As i understand it, keeping a slightly higher crit chance is better for trash in raids, whereas more attack power is better for the bosses, but i'm not one for the theorycraft, i just see what other people say on the matter and stick by what people say (within reason of course, im not stupid enough to go stacking healing and a 1h weapon and shield for my DPS)
Any thoughts on this would be much appreciated thank you
EDIT: This is for PvE content.

the reason you want high Crit is for Vengeance, and as for having higher Crit on trash and AP on bosses, i would assume that it's because trash fights are shorter hence you want crits ASAP for the bonus
But I would agree with freddy on this matter, since you'll have ~40% crit on judgements anyways
you should experiment and try to find the perfect balance in practice imo

Yeah, i'm still lowering my crit chance in favour of AP at the moment. I have about 90 hit rating as well because it just comes with the gear that i have, but i'm not sure how important it its, though it does mean that i never miss which is helpful, but again i don't know whether many other people bother to get much hit rating?

hit cap should be at the top of your priority
then expertise
if you can cap expertise for example, you can stand in front of prince in kara alongside the tank and DPS without a care
