I know Resto druid are amazing in 5mans and pvp. Seen them play them very well.
But never seen them in a raid. Do they still preform very well in raids as they do in the others areas of the game?

in raids droods are mainly raid healers, since they can just pop a lifebloom on each target for highly efficient 2k+ heals
kara you will be the raid healer most likely
25 mans you will be in charge of healing 5-10 people, usually pallys will cover the main tank

Non-bad resto shamans will always be better raid healers because Chain Heal is disgustingly overpowered. :P

Would you say it would be better to roll shaman if your main goal is to be the best healer for raids possible? (Not Pallie or Priest)

not true at all.... 3 stacks of lifebloom and a rejuvination macro..
ive heared tell healing chain isnt that well anyways, and does it have a CD?
cause if it does you can count our tranquility in on it- 10min cd.... heals for around 2k+ when geared right.
The problem is when everyone has taken damage, you probably wont have time for 3+ GCDs.
Circle of Healing is a priest spell that ROCKS for AoE damage, but it is limited by a set radius and if ppl are in that radius. Like someone else said, Chain Heal is intelligent... which makes it pretty dang cool.
Priests have the widest variety of healing spells: I think they are the best raid healers. You can keep yourself up with Binding Heal while not stopping your heals on your Main Tank; Prayer of Mending gives hate to the Tank and bounces as well. AoE heals. HoT. I'd say if you want flexibility for raid healing, go priest all the way.
Also, if you change your mind you could respec shadow and be a mana battery dpser... and what casters dont want a shadow priest in the raid?

You know, thinking about tranquility, it could be good if the talent for it reduced the CD by 2.5/5 minutes or so and made it un-interruptible so it didn't require casting Barkskin first, adding the GCD for that on top of it.
