Request Sticky as a Reputation Perk?

I actually noticed for the first time that mods can sticky comments on pages today.
So it made me wonder: Why not make a "Request Sticky" feature available for people at 5,000, 8,000, or 10,000 rep, something where people who contribute are the ones doing it, so it doesn't clog up the queue with pointless requests?
Just something I was wondering about. There's a lot of good comments that get close to the second page because people are up voting comments that are a joke about the reference or something similar, rather than the one giving actual information.

We use the sticky ability sparingly... typically just to ensure very good comments that are getting buried can get to the top quickly in situations where very new information has come up and the top comments aren't helping as much as they maybe once did.
For example... a particular pet was removed years ago and reintroduced recently. So, I sticky'd a current comment so people would know that the item was indeed available again and from where.
What we like to ask everyone to do is if they see a comment that is very well written and thorough that is buried somewhere and not getting any attention, due to irrelevant (humerous) comments or out dated information, to feel free to submit a Report on it. 'Request Sticky' is already an option for anyone.(##RESPBREAK##)12##DELIM##Sas148##DELIM##
