Regarding instance locks?

Hey

Me and a friend 2 manned Ulduar , however we didn't finish it as it was getting late when we started it, so we left and it said we had a 3 day instance lock. We want to go back to it tomorrow, but does the instance lock mean we must wait 3 days before we can go back in, or can we carry on from where we were or start fresh?

I read online it saves, and that you can go back in but there are certain rules etc..

No, it's going to reset in three days.

If you wanted to pick up where you left off after the scheduled instance reset, instead of fighting the same bosses again, you could extend the lock-out using the Raid Info page.

and instance lock means that everything you did in it till the weekly reset will remain that way.
for example you killed first 4 bosses and then leave. when you come back within that lock out the first 4 bosses will remain defeated and you can pick up from that.

after the instance lock expires on the weekly reset (during maintance) you can start agian at start or if you please you can go to your raid tab and choose too extend a raid lock and continue with the cleared raid of the week before that. though this option is generally only used by progress raiders who pushing a certain boss and dnt wanna waste time clearing other things agian.
