I recently refered my boyfriend to WoW. We have recently started toons together and begain questing as a group. Its just the two of us and we have not done any missions alone but somehow I have gotten ahead of him. At first I though it had something to do with PvP but then I watched our numbers and read our quests. He is receiving 1000 less exp per quest and about 25-40 per kill. Is this normal? If so what should we do to fix it (besides playing alone)?

there's several possible explanations
are you using heirlooms ?
Heirloom Experience Bonus +10%
are you a member of a guild?
