why is 50%+ of the mage forums filled with these threads T_T ?
All questions asked can be answered by the Mage FAQ and "Informative and useful mage threads" in the mage forum @ forums.wow-europe.com

i don't see how your response answers the question. i guess if the question was "why do so many people post here" then your response would work. but that wasn't the question, and as such it doesn't.
i don't know why most of the mages on wowhead want to talk about "rate my spec". my guess is they are too lazy to read and research their class a bit. that or they aren't lazy, but to stupid to understand what they read.
here's a list of traits a person would need in order to feel the need to post a "what about this spec"
1-too lazy &/or too dumb to recieve knowledge from research
2-not friends with a decent mage(prolly not friends with many other people either)
3-either isn't 70 or hasn't been 70 long, and as such all specs become leveling/grinding spec anyway.
4-unable to experiment and find their own style, needs constant hand holding and guidance to accomplish anything.
But then you can also share and research, and people can pool ideas and refine the class's tactics, if everyone goes off and does thier own thing (not that this is wrong) your not optimising the sum tottal of knolledge as you would here. Why not here than anywhere else? i mearly pointed out that on my pc i can not use blizzards own website for reasons unknown.

it's the mage forum, thier mage builds why not post, if you don't want to share you knolledge don't if you do, do. But some people arn't so good at theory craft or build construction and maybe having people sharring idea's isn't so bad
