The next items you sell will erase the oldest buyback still in place.
ie you aren't blocked from selling, but you will lose buyback options on other items. No solution to that as the buyback memory will disappear anyway through logging out or whatever.

This might be a dumb question (i'm relatively new) but what happens when you fill up the 12 "buyback" slots when selling to vendors? Is there a way to sell more than 12 items at a time? Do I need to log out for the slots to open up again? Any suggestions?
Evidently this is confusing new players. To sell something to a vendor, simply right-click it. The buyback tab is only there if you sell more than one thing on accident, you can buy it back from the vendor, and keep it.
