One of the worst things about priests is the lack of protection against spell push back. Shield is junk and Martyrdom is counter productive in pvp you don't want to be crit thats what res gear is for, and if your standing around casting 2 second smites or 1.5 second mind blasts while being crit well.... You see where I am going with that.

The fun part: Holy Nova is used as a tool to proc surge of light Holy Nova will crit heal and crit dmg which means double the chance to get those instant smites. SW pain SW death Holy Nova renew and instant smite means No need for bubble no need to stop and cast your heals. No need to worry about spell pushback.
Holy nova hits for about 400 and crits for 600 heals about 600-800 dmg too. Instant smite for 1500 SW death for 1200 and pain ticks for about 400 tops. 3300 from your instant non dot spell and you've healed everyone around ya. This is a perfect combo for EOTS fighting on the Nodes same with AB in arena 5v5 its great as long as you dont get FF'd but even then you die and go into spirit form and heal your team for 15 seconds.
Melee classes have to keep you stunned otherwise they will never beat your health regen before you take their life down. Just keep kiting with Holy Nova and take your fiend out turn around to land your instant smites and keep SW pain up chastise is perfect here too to get some distance when needed.
Holy Nova is a mana drain you can always use rank one and aslong as it crits you get your instant smite. If your not afraid of buring your own mana Go all out after you get used to it, it's so much fun people think holy nova is a joke until you follow it up with 1.5K dmg while your still running around.
No need to spec into the big heals unless you plan on doing SSC or some of the bigger 25 man raids 1800+ healing is very easy to get with kara epics and a few enchants at that point its all about mana regen and down ranking spells you'll be fine.
