Prot PvP spec? Is that true?

So i am now leveling to 80, im 75 right now, but i hear that the Prot became the new PvP spec. Is this true? I dont know too much about prot. spec, bet can someone explain this to me?

yep, as far as im concerned, it is the best for arena. Dont know if it is good for BG tho.

prots fun and all but it is a gimick spec and is inferior to bladestorm
it certainly isnt "the" pvp spec

I die pretty fast in BGs with prot, but that is probably because the dynamics are different than that of arena. I just know death knights are owning me pretty bad, and I'm in pretty damn good gear. Makes me sad.
