I would also like to point out that we do not know when this milestone was actually made. There is also such thing as "corporate propaganda". I am not saying Blizzard is lying. I'm sure they are NOT. However, they've done a pretty good job covering up the overwhelming opposition. I'm not going to quote percentages or statistics since I can not give accurate specifics. But I do know these forums have had a decent amount of complaints, and from what I've gathered from the numerous posts there have been MANY posts on the Blizzard forums that were either ignored or deleted. Not one of the major World of Warcraft sites that I've seen even mentioned there was any kind of opposition to the event. Even Blizzard itself did a suave downplay of it. The fact they had to mention it "did not end prematurely" and "we didn't mean anything by it" means more than just a few people complained.

I am really going to end my participation in this discussion here as it has gone on for over a week now and if anything its just irritating.

I am disappointed in Blizzard. I am disappointed in the event. I am disappointed in the responses from the community. I respect your right to enjoy the event...to the extent that it ends at my face. All I asked was for some common courtesy and respect to other players.

Just because you are allowed to do something doesn't mean its proper. It doesn't mean its polite. It doesn't mean it has a positive effect on another person. Just because you can camp a low level for hours doesn't mean you're justified. It means you're a jerk.

"This is just a game" I keep reading again and again... it's because it's a game that you should be showing some self control. If your free time for entertainment involves griefing someone else's free time you're being a bully. Plain and simple. Spin it however you want. You're a bully.

"a blustering, quarrelsome, overbearing person who habitually badgers and intimidates smaller or weaker people."

Unfortunately this event empowered such people against the players who actually behave and treat others with respect. It rewarded the bad for mistreating the good and the good was told to stuff it when they petitioned Blizzard.

The majority of the people who posted here in favor of the event felt it was necessary to use insults, swearing, and put downs.

The majority of those opposed to the event did nothing of the sort. The worst post I saw was actually one of my own.

It tells you what kind of people Blizzard was catering to in this event.

I've been playing for a year and a half. Granted. There are some who have played longer. But I've been a faithful customer. I've enjoyed some patches more than others. I've seen battlegrounds changed and manipulated. Sometimes I liked it. Sometimes I didn't. I have five level 70s all of different classes and I've felt the blunt end of the nerf bat and the fluffy end of the buff pillow more than once. I've never complained on any forums regarding any change in the game. I've never even thought about it. I've never experienced an event that'd make me cancel my subscription (minus the removal honor and marks...which they lamented quickly).

I and many of the players I know who have canceled or are still thinking of canceling their subscriptions are good, decent players who like a challenge and enjoy the dynamic world.

Being brushed aside as whiney babies because you can't fathom the idea that maybe, just maybe, not everyone has to agree with you is really insulting.

I never asked anyone to agree with me...just respect my opinion. And I've been disappointed to see a total absence of that in this gaming community. I've played many games for many many years and I'm astounded at how many people here openly supported and condoned and even encouraged the griefing of other players...it's sad.

People posting on Blizz forums about not just canceling their subscriptions? But canceling their pre-orders for the expansion.

First of all im GLAD that people stopped playing during the zombie invasion event it made for some much less laggy more smooth gameplay on my behalf which i throughly enjoyed. During the zombie event i was able to do everything i normally did. I did 10 Quel'Danas dailies, i did HH, I did a few WSG and i put Runecloth on the AH (the OGRIMMAR ah)

It didn't disrupt my gameplay in the slightest bit and i play on a PvP server where people are more likely to engage in hacking people up as zombies because of the general notion of a PvP server being for people that want to fight others (generally the other faction but in this case also their own)

Also to the people saying there has never been anything like this before...

I find it funny that some of you say you've played for a few years and yet you can't remember the event following the inclusion of the Tier 3 Dungeon Naxxramas into the game, pretty sure there was a similar event back then.

You use a lot of analogies. I'm not even going to try to refute your points. The fact is, we share different opinions, and for different reasons. Blizzard took the right response in my opinion, because a lot of people liked it.

The only people it could have possibly inconvenienced are:

1) young children
2) disabled people
3) people brand new to the game

So for 5 days things were messed up. So what. Seriously, so what. Long term customers - the people complaining they couldn't BG, mail, AH, or whatever. People playing it long enough to know there are alternatives.

If you quit over this (or think about it for that matter), no matter how grammatically correct or precise you analogies are, you are - in my HUMBLE opinion - retarded and immature.

Damnit, I just couldn't help myself. You people make me so angry, and Supremacy, reading your posts SMACKS of arrogance, you hypocrite.

I think I understand the points you're trying to make.

1) If I think something other than you about this, I am both retarded and immature.
2) Everyone else who had a problem with this was either young (immature), disabled (retarded), or new to the game ("nubs").

Any argument that is made against these points, regardless of whatever merit it holds, regardless of being correct? Are completely invalidated because I'm retarded/immature.

Therefore, everyone who has had a problem with this event, everyone who has posted on this forum, on Blizzard's forum, and said something in the game. Everyone is either young, disabled, or new to the game. And no matter what logic or evidence is presented to the contrary, that is the be all and end all of things.

Your customers are growing increasingly agitated. Long time subscribers are cancelling accounts. People are cancelling pre-orders for your long awaited product. People are recounting their friends quitting. People are starting to ask for their money back. Demanding it. People have stopped playing your game, and are now looking for other games. They are telling their friends to do the same. A web search of "Wow zombies quitting" brings up over 600,000 hits. And still, no response.

You missed the bit where you have your opinion, many people have others.

I read a post where a mother was complaining cause her 3 year old couldn't wander round the city.

I read a post where disabled people were actually in agony because it caused them so much strife.

Understandable, Blizzard can't really cater for these people. I guarantee there would be whine if PvE servers had been excluded. Such calls as "it's elitist to allow the PvP servers this event!" It's just the people quitting after a 5 day event that they didn't have to let "inconvenience" them, after playing for a long time. It's them I have a gripe with. You're saying all these people quit. I'm basically saying, don't blame the zombies for them quitting, it's quite sad if that's the case. The game is exactly the same now as it was a week ago. It was also the same over the weekend, albeit with the possibility of your brains being eaten.

Maybe it's just me and my inability to comprehend how anyone let something so fun slip by while calling it rude names. It is arrogant, so let's agree to disagree.

EDIT: Just re-read, no I never said that the people complaining were those people, I'm saying they are the people who, I think, have a right to be upset. Only them. Long term players who cry about not being able to do the auction house, they are the ones who I just don't get.

EDIT2: Oh and before you say "they paid for their month and weren't told" here's something to think about.

If your gonna let zombies roaming around cause u to quit you shouldnt be playing WoW. Server Crashes, Maintenance, hell even getting disconnected from the server briefly whilst u relogin causes more disruption to your gaming ability than the zombies ever could.

the comments are diffrent for each sealed report but one of them has a comment from a user saying a game master told them a quest is getting added relativly soon that will continue the quest line
