Looks like a majority like it to some degree. So really, blizz is doing something that playerbase wants. Stick that in you pipe and smoke it, panda-haters.
This is flawed and here is why. I am looking forward to a great many things about the upcoming expansion. I however am a 'panda-hater'. I won't however just blindly hate everything about the expansion due to that. I thought blanket statements were frowned on here?
Still doesn't stop the fact it is, at least, SOMEWHAT true.

Really like the content of the next segment of Wow.
Will look forward to continue the quest for xp.

what weapons will monks use? it would be nice if they had their own "specific" bamboo stick. they would have the choice between 2 1 handed dual wielding staves, 2 handed staves, or 2 handed bamboo sticks.

=(
edit: as for demon hunter classes, i think they should have a specific weapon that has the same design as illidan's weapon, but at a more basic level. :(
im excited to see how monks heal. lol. omg, im so stoked for it

Okay, I understand that I exaggerated about the pandaren and neutral race thing. I still believe that the new talent tree is a freakin joke. It's like you can mix between the specs now
No, specs and talent trees are completely different.

I have been playing WoW sense Vanilla, and I'm going to be completely honest here.
Mists of Pandaria sounds like a good step in the right direction to make Warcraft less generic and probably a bit more interesting in the long run.
The only thing I am sick of hearing is "OMG, Pandas? Are you serious?/That's a very childish idea!/They were an April fools joke; they can't be a race/Why don't they give them to as more kids play on that side." etc. etc. etc.
To all the Panda haters out there, take this into consideration before taking out your volcanic sized hatred on your keyboards..
The player-base you consider to be childish is already moving away from Warcraft... More kids are interested in playing action packed games like COD, or battlefield. I doubt a 13-17 year old is going to be going nuts over a Panda like race.
And as for the lore? Yeah, its true the idea was made up as an April fools joke; but the community accepted it and even went as far as to ask Blizzard to implement Pandas in game. Looks like they got what they wanted, eh?
Personally I feel like this expansion is a great opportunity; many of you will complain about how "x" wont make it into the game, and whatnot; but Alpha is Alpha.
I leave you with a few words my Grandfather left me with when I was young. (May he rest in peace.)
"If you never expect anything from anyone in life, you will never be disappointed."

what weapons will monks use?
Fist Weapons, One-Handed Axes, One-Handed Maces, One-Handed Swords, Polearms, and Staves
They need Kamas in this game IMO.

well, if we get down to it, Kamas look a lot like axes, maybe to fit the asian theme of this expac, most/some/all axes could be shaped like Kamas, just like Daggers could be shaped like Kukris, swords could be shaped like Jians, polearms could be shaped like Naginatas, ect

That would be interesting.

Looks like the majority are saying they like it. So even if its not the vocal cry babies on this forum, its the silent majority - the people Blizzard is targeting - that are happy. This means they are doing things right, and the vocal whiners are a sad, small group of depressed people who have only each other to hold and cry into the night with.
dude, the majority of the people whining often state that they dont even play the game anymore, thus making their QQ even more pathetic.
Why complain so much when you supposedly RETIRED?
I used to be a HARDCORE player of Lineage II (one of the hardest and most brutal Korean MMO's of all time, vanilla-wow quests were like playing pong compared to quests such as the sub-class quest, or nobility quest in lineage II) for well over 4 long years, and yes I loved every moment of it.
then came a time when the devs made one bad call after another, I put up with it as long as my patience lasted, but one day I just said "enough is enough" bid my goodbye to friends and guildies (some of my best internet friends are from my old guild there, Killer Quixotes, the only spanish guild in the Bartz server, and living proof that latin americans are nature-born BADASSES) sold my account, packed up my memories (a billion screenshots) and walked away.
I've never looked back since, ever.
Lineage II is still running these days, its a shadow of its former glory but still holds enough subscribers to be profitable to their main company, so they still keep it up, and still release expacs for it. Do I go all PATHETIC-LOSER mode and go to every youtube video of the most recent Lineage 2 vid and hit dislike and then write hateful comments on the game and their players? no, do I stalk official and fan-made forums of lineage 2 to insult both game and players? no, do I constantly make threads after threads saying that the game is dead? no.
I moved on. Moving on, is something that truly marks an adult person from an inmature childish idiot.
Take a look at Total Halibut, (also known as Total Biscuit, and Mean Brit) he used to love wow, and made a very extensive cover of the cataclysm beta, yet he became very disapointed in the direction wow was going, so he retired from the game, stopped making videos about the game, and just recently said he doesn't find appealing the new expansion and thus wont be covering it either. And that's it.
that's professionalism right there, rather than make video after video ranting about how lame wow has gotten, and going on and on about how you shouldn't play it either, he just did the mature thing to do, the adult thing to do: You dont like it? walk away. No grudges, no ranting, no moaning, no incessant whining. Just walk away, and move onto something else. He even made a video where he will discuss his future projects now that he moved from wow.
It really is that simple. Those that suposedly walked away or plan to walk away yet can't refrain from making hateful posts one after another are little better than pathetic little children clammoring for attention and jumping on the recent band-wagon.
and it is really REALLY sad

Indeed. I'm glad =)

I feel like Blizzard is steering the game toward the kids. Pokemon pets? Pandas? The new talent tree's that take no skill at all to build a good spec. WoW is going to lose out BIGTIME when Guild Wars 2 hits, and they know it! So they're making it kid friendly in the hopes that they can snag younger customers that don't know what WoW used to be like. I hate what WoW is becoming. Personally, I've played the game since vanilla, and I'm ready to make the move to GW2. I'm not the LEAST bit interested in World of Pandacraft.
Also, if you're tired of running dungeons with idiots, just wait until this expansion comes out. You thought DK's were bad? Wait until they unleash thousands of kids with pandas. The game is about to become a horrid nightmare.

Did you
honestly
"build" your spec yourself, with no outside resources such as Elitist Jerks? Did you figure out your rotation, what to gem and what glyphs to use yourself?
The vast majority of the people complaining about Mists of Pandaria and the talent tree revamp seems to think that going to Elitist Jerks or inspecting the top players and looking at their talents has any difficulty involved whatsoever, and it does not.

I'm so eager to get to Pandaria, i can't wait for this expansion. It offers so much that i love, Pandas, Monks and beautiful landscapes. Another thing is all the new features they add such as PvE scenarios, Challenge modes, better questing, it's sweet music in my ears. Can't wait, i always love what blizzard does.
