First, you could try to convince them to reroll.
Second, you're going to have to choose the guild or the friends either way.
Third, log in to Battle.net, go to "Account," click your WoW license, the services are listed on the bottom under "Character Services."
Fourth, in order to change factions and servers, you would need to purchase both a faction change and a server transfer.

I would reroll. The cost for race change is $30 and then $25 for the realm transfer.
