I honestly have no Idea what Magician is talking about. The rest of us totally plan on playing war games, complete with cutthroat tactics and murderdeathkill. That's kind of what we've been talking about this whole time.
MyTie made one post, that I did not really even see as being
near
"the line", and it was ruled to be over "the line", and he was suspended for the day. The post has since been removed, and I dont feel like taking a time out, so I will not repeat what it said. I will say that it contained a reference to gay marriage, and some graphic RP imagery. It was suggested that he (we) should continue in a more "light hearted manner".
I see no point in participating in a "War game", where I have to be concerned that I am going to be suspended if I play too rough. I am pretty sure we all (at least thought we knew) what lines should not be crossed, even for the scenario. I guess it is fine to plot the killing of someone in their sleep, but not even making mention of sexuality.......unless of course it is for recruitment purposes.

I didn't realize that playing war games gave us free reign to be rude on the forums, as long as what we said could be construed as an act of war. I thought it was...you know, a game. And that we still had to follow the forum rules about not being nasty to each other. If the rules you're looking for include being allowed to be nasty to each other on the forums, since we're at pretend war, then maybe this isn't the game for you. I think the rest of us are looking at this a friendly competition, and not a chance to get away with saying things we otherwise would be modded for.
Now if someone had been modded for writing in something violent into their battle plan, I could see your point. But the game hasn't actually started yet, and the post has nothing to do with playing out the war, and everything to do with upsetting the person it was aimed at. If you can't tell there's a difference between those two things, well...not sure what to tell you.

He asked if they would be shot in the head and strung up. If you're going to quote, quote the whole thing.
It's like you saying that your island is Christian to attract friends of yours who were Christian, and then me asking if someone who i already had a history of upsetting was going to take the chance to skin me alive and use me as fishing bait over thinking Christians are evil. Most people might see these as two different contexts.

As I said before, remove the war game, graphic RP element out of it, and all he asked was if I dont support gay marriage, will I be welcomed on your neutral island? Which is a more than fair question to ask given the history of this forum.

That is the RP element of a War Game. If you are upset about the graphic imagery, than I suggest you not read about 2 dozen of the other posts that contain the same.

If adamsm had asked if he would be crucified on our island for being Wiccan, I would have expected nothing less. I would have taken no offense. It fits both the element of the game, and the history of our forum. I fully expected our religion to become a point of contention in the battle. It was, in fact, already questioned here.
From what it looks like you are slighly outnumbered, and what happened to all human life is sacred?

1) When I replied, all MyTie's post said was "Am I judging or not?" He added the part about "Interest and I" after i wrote it.
2) I don't care if there is one judge, or many- whatever people want to do.
3) It's not MY decision- there are 4 islands left, and we need to decide as a group how this is going to happen.
4) If you want my opinion on a personal level, I don't find MyTie or Magician's temperaments to conducive to even-tempered judging or neutrality, and would prefer that they weren't, but I'm not in charge of this game by any means. Before anyone jumps on me, I didn't volunteer to be a judge myself, either.
