the DS glyph may be healing you for less, but for me as a Blood Spec, I'm looking at 4% MORE of my damage done is returned to me in health, giving me a total of 8%. I had read that they were doubling the healing returns on Blood Presence and Aura. (sweet)
As far as the new looks that only DKs can get, and having to pay $15 for it, its BS. I will seriously be %^&*ed if that's the case. Blizz didn't make people pay GOLD to respec when they came out with 51 point talent trees, and now they expect me to pay REAL money for something like THIS? WTB Plastic Surgeon in Dalaran. lol. you could put it right next to the Barber Shop.

The thing is, Zero, talent trees are directly related to gameplay. How your character looks doesn't. Just cause new DKs will have 1 new look doesn't mean you're going to be hurt by not having it. If you wanna have that new look, reroll your DK or pay that $15. I for one couldn't care less about how my DK really looks, all I ever see is the armor on his back.

For Orc DK's there are 2 or 3 newish faces, and 3 new skin colors - white, dark two-tone grey, and a shade of green not much different from the other orc greens. Only the newish faces can use those new skin colors.
I describe the faces as newish b/c at least one of them is actually an old face (the catlike one I always choose for my orcs), but with the glowing blue eyes and new skin colors it looks newish.
I assume similar for the other races, but haven't checked the out.

Blizzard is a smart company. They are going to make more money giving people in game sex changes than any video game company is going make in a fiscal year. You don't get that kind of income by being a horrible company. Blizzard is so good at their jobs all it is now a days is a cluster #$%^ for second place.

Just for User Accounts.... figure 11 million people have to pay Blizz every month. that's about 367k people every day that pay for their account. that's about $5.5 MILLION a day, $165 MILLION a month, about $1.98 BILLION a YEAR... now for the expansion. let's say just half the people who own the game bought the regular edition of the expansion this year in the first week. that's a bonus of $220 million in the first week.
Here's the bottom line. If they can't afford to give us the custom tools right from the get go, there is no reason in the world to make us pay for them! Ok, so you screwed up, and missed putting this into a small patch on release night? Fine, but the people who had leveled a DK to 80 in the first week that the expansion was out, should NOT be SCREWED because of their dedication. Just my 2 cents...

what do you think would happen if people could freely move server? or change their name as they see fit?.. they would do it all the time, scamming would be way to easy, with no cost, and no of getting caught. i like the fact that it cost a few bucks, 15 might be a bit over the top, 5-10 would be more in line, but still, i love the fact that it cost money to do some of the things.

Shexna, WoW is a game designed to make money. To do server transers and name changes requires a bit of work. So making it free would actually cost them money. And if there were always free server to server changes whenever you wanted, people would just hop from one economy to the other.
In any event, I don't think the issue is that these services should be free, but that people who made DKs before this patch (Without even a warning its comming) will not be able to 'look as cool' as future DKs, who will be the ones asking us for help and wondering why we are so ugly.

The patch notes are so $%^&ty for dk's
overall everything reduced.
I'm unholy spec and this patch notes are not really what i 'd like to see..
-> Bone Shield: The mitigation has been reduced from 40% to 20%.
-> Icebound Fortitude now reduces damage by 20% instead of 50%. The amount of damage reduced increases with bonus Defense (to about 35% for 540 Defense, but can go higher).
-> Glyph of Death Strike has also been reduced by 50% to 1% healing per 5 Runic Power.
just oh my god...
they made my unholy so %^&*tyy
i will get less healing with my glyph, dunno why i even bought it, as a tank bone shield reduced, icebound too
unlucky me

And that's exactly it right there Shexna. I do NOT disagree with Blizzard as a company making money, that's what they do. I disagree with the idea that I would have to either re-roll a new toon to 80, or pay them for a service that SHOULD have been done by the time they released the stinking expansion. If they can't give it to us right off the bat, either don't give it to us at all, or give it to all existing DKs for free. The idea that I would have to pay actual money for a service every other DK created til the end of time receives for free, sickens me.
I would still like to see a Plastic Surgeon in Dalaran. Because I would have no problem paying 100g for this.
