Eh...as a tank you should've pulled away from cc'ed mobs.
Anyhoo, I'd love to see whirlwind included too, but this is not the case at the moment it seems.

Your still going to have to pull mobs back away from CC'd targets for TC, which is the primary ability to hold multi mob aggro.
I mean it'll be a nicety, to be able to hit cleave right up front and not have to worry about hitting a CC'd target, but it really wont be that huge. I'll still end up having to pull all my mobs back away from CC to use TC like i always have.
Overall Impact for warriors: minimal

awesome! blizzard has found yet another way to make the game even easier. honestly, how much longer will it be till you log on, click a button to summon illidan, and then watch him die? w i guess blizzard's sole concern is a level playing field. meaning that intelligence(even a dim version of it) shouldn't be considered an advantage.
Its one of the reasons wow is so poplular. Because its easy. Anyone can play it, even peoples' girlfriend who's never played a game before in her life. Making the game easier, and more enjoyable makes blizzard more money, so why wouldnt they do it?

I agree whole-heartedly. The simple little bits associated with not just Protection warriors as a class, but with all classes is yet again taking a hit. It's these little bits that have defined the line between a nwe player, a good player & a great player. On a side note, I would like to insert my opinion that hunters, above all other classes, have received the most "baby" changes (read: babysitting).
Before someone assumes I am totally against this change, let me say that I do indeed think it will be a great change simply for the fact that we have
other
things to do as a tank & improving Cleave itself will warrant more practical use, it may not actually improve our tanking ability on a scale balanced to that of how effective the change will be for hunters (an example) and their DPS. What that means is that while we may benefit, surely a hunter will benefit even more. I support this statement with the fact that hunters do not have any control to "move away" from crowd controlled mobs. We, as warriors, do have an option & the ability Cleave, while sometimes preferred, is not integral to our role. Of course, feel free to disagree.
-----
Personally, I do use Cleave to maintain trash on certain creatures, but feel that it is insufficient to hold aggro on Heroic mode dungeons (at least according to my ability & experiences). Perhaps I may be encouraged to use it more
in certain situations
, the presumed neglect surrounding Thunderclap means I will be moving away regardless.

Cleave is awesome for low level tanking.
This is great news for Fury Warriors.
I think this change is more intended for dps warrior instead of tankers.
A simple Game? LOL. I'm pretty sure the majority of folks here have not seen Illidan/Black Temple.
