Hey guys, I've recently decided to re-roll a Blood Elf Paladin on Emerald Dream and I was hoping I could get some advice profession-wise. At first I was planning on picking up Mining + Jewelcrafting, but now I'm considering Tailoring + Enchanting. I know the price of cloth and enchanting dust varies by Realm but in general, do you guys think its worth tailoring Silk, Mageweave, Runecloth, Netherweave, and then disenchanting? Or am I better off in most cases just selling a certain cloth and buying enchanting mats with the money I get from that?
If you guys have any tips on what to craft + disenchant or sell directly for each level of dust, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

The
Emerald Dream
realm forums would be better suited, if not just asking or checking the AH on the server. Each server varies greatly, you will get no "real" answer here.

In general, for my first char on a server I have found that the best thing to do is to pick 2 gathering professions. My personal preference is skinning/mining, but any combination of skinning/mining/herbalism is a legitimate money maker.

leveling enchanting on a blood elf is very easy, thanks to their racial... take mining + enchanting. DE your old gear & useless quest rewards for mats. mining will provide a steady gold income.
don't waste your time and gold tailoring. just level first aid and sell the extra cloth.

I know Blood Elves get the +10 Racial skill but how does this make leveling it any easier? Based on my original server, Enchanting mats are ridiculously overpriced (I.E. Greater Nether Essences were going for 10G when they used to go for 3G when I last played), and the price of low level Dust is pretty sickening. Other than Enchanting my own equipment over and over again to level it, there doesn't seem to be too much demand for any other enchants besides the 'best' ones.
Heck, I see people constantly advertising on Trade that they'd pay 5G back if their skill leveled. The only real way I can Enchanting not break someone's income is if they way until Lv70 to pick it up, at which they time can farm for the mats themselves or farm something else more efficiency and use the money from that to buy mats and powerlevel it. I don't know, am I missing something?
