Need some info

I need help in deciding what to roll for PVP. I have a 70 hunter but she is not my cup of tea. I also have a 43 warrior but I find that in BGs and 1v1 he struggles to close the distance on most classes. So I was leaning toward a rogue or shammy. I have played a rogue before but never a ton in PVP. I also have played a shammy to 30ish but never really in PVP. So my questions are, does the warrior class get better? Should I just play it safe with the rogue idea, if so what race is best for alliance? Or should I try the shammy who I enjoyed playing, but read nothing but doom and gloom about them at 70 for PVP? Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks for the input, although I dont want to have to run around with a pocket healer to be unstoppable. I just want to have a class that is fun and can possibly win (no guarantee) any encounter. Any more thoughts??
