Hello all.
I recently started doing 2v2 arena with a fairly well geared disc/holy priest. The priest's resilience is at 396, so I can't really complain much about that. We usually do fairly well with most combos, but some double dps combos such as mage/rogue still gets us.
The combo that we have the most problem with is pretty much a druid with any kind of dps. The druid would just cyclone and root the heck out of me while their dps get on my healer. It usually turns into a battle of attrition and we're usually the ones losing because I simply couldn't get on their healer so my healer runs out of mana well before theirs does.
Any seasoned warrior can help me out with some pointers as to how I can deal with those kind of combinations?
Also, just out of curiosity, do you guys usually try to kill their healers first or attempt to burst down their dps and make their healer waste mana through mortal strike?
In terms of double dps teams, I often have trouble choosing the target. Say for example rogue/mage, who should I go for first?
The priest is a good friend of mine, so I'm going to be doing a lot of 2v2s with said priest. Any tips and strategies on how a war/priest combo should play is appreciated. Thanks in advanced =)

Yep, Resto Druids are pretty cheap.
Rejuvenation (40 yard range and it's an instant cast! geezus)
Cyclone (can basically spam it over and over for 3 times before you become immune.) No freakin cooldown.
entangling roots (spam it over and over up to 3 times) No freakin cooldown.
You guys basically have to spam some sort of cc (sleep, fear, whatever) on the druid and go after his/her partner.
Yikes I've never teamed with a Disc/Holy Priest, but going against a Resto Druid + (Warrior, Hunter, Mage, Warlock), you need to have a partner that can cc the Druid and dish damage on his partner. Basically you have to kill the Druid's partner before your cc runs out - which means you need to have two sources of dps and some good cc. A Hunter's Wyvern Sting seems pretty effective.
I don't know how other people do it, but our team have success by cc'ing the healer and going after the dps'er. The only time they beat us if my partner (Survival Hunter) messes up his cc, or I happen to accidently break the cc. If the combo is a Resto Shaman + a dpser, we'd cc the dpser and kill the Shaman, however you should lure the Shaman away from his totems. This seems to work fairly well for us. But we are a different team make up than you guys are (no healer, all out dps).
Rogue or Mage? Definetly the Rogue. The Rogue will most likely go after the priest. Choose the target that you have a good chance of killing and Frost Mages is not one of them!
You might want to consider a 3v3 team with the disc priest.

Thanks for the response.
I have seen some teams with a war/priest combo that has manage to breakthe 1800 mark, which is why I thought I'd try it out with my priest as well. I just always thought that maybe there was something that we're not seeing so we've been playing around with the priest spec quite a bit to try figuring things out.
As of now though we're having trouble breaking the 1650 mark.
I think in terms of improvement, I need to work more on helping my healer survive by jumping back with intervene, disarm and etc whenever I can.
The one thing that we do lack is dependable cc. As a warrior all I've got are my random mace stuns and my fear that has a 3 min cooldown, and my priest's fear has a 30 second cooldown.
Thanks for the response though, please keep them coming if you guys can think of anything else that might make this combo work.
I'm gonna post this on the priest forum too to see if they have any idea on what my priest might be able to do better =)
