Game balance. It would be too freakin' imba to have increased movement speed along with extra armor and crit aura or some other fancy stuff (like a skeleton costume). Well, that's what Blizz says... >_>
And well, pity the poor mounts. A kodo would be enough to stand the mass of a moonkin but that's about it.
