Mining elementals?

Ok about mining elementals
I tried searching wowwiki but i couldn't find anything :/

Obviously they have to be earth elemntals(i think)
Do i need a certain tool?
Does the skill define the maximun level of elemental i can mine?
And anything else you can tell me would be usefull.

Yes, it has to be earth elemental/colossal.
You need only a Mining Pick.
Skill you need to mine the elemental is 5xLevel (needs to be confirmed)
For example, you need skill 250 to mine a lvl 50 elemental.

And for additional info, the elementals drop usually only gray trash like Crystalline fragments or motes, sometimes (rarely) gems.They also don't give skill when mined, so you can't level up mining with elementals.
