"What?" Amber exclaimed incredulously. She looked at the book, huffed, then put it down and kicked it away with a foot. "I will have you know I am also an intellectual, and my enjoyment of video games is purely on the basis of academics, design principles, and regarding them as a developed art form. So there. You probably cosplay."

Damn.
He was not with his friends anymore.
They'd wonder where he'd gone, for sure.
Not that
that
really mattered among the questions of why, how and most importantly, where.

Logan crossed his arms, grumbling. Stepping forward, he spread his hands out between Jonas and Amber. "Okay, this arguement is dumb. We're all clearly going crazy, and having some sort of shared hallucination."

Jonas huffed and crossed his arms. "Maybe. But I doubt it," he said. He waved at the bookcases which filled the walls all around him. "Though God knows we're in the right place to figure it out."

Amber snorted, "Anyone else have the itching feeling they know what this place is?" she rubbed her hands together and looked around with a grimace. "Like, if I could see it maybe from a different angle, I'd know exactly where we are."

Jonas thought. "Beauty and the Beast's castle?" He grimaced. "I swear, if this is a Kingdom Hearts world I am going to flip out. Just go absolutely nuts. You have all been warned!"

Books. Books all around. And stone walls. Interesting color on the masonry. Old? Probably.
The twenty-four year old pretty-short-shorts-and-nearly-fluorescent-orange-functional-shirt-clad no-longer-a-boy-really picked himself off the floor and dusted his thighs off absently, like he often crawled dirty places.

"Well, that would make sense." Logan nodded to the girl. "If we're collectively imagining this, our subconscious would naturally pull from places we know. Like that creepy library where the old guy would sit staring at the group of kids reading. And you thought about calling the cops until you realized he was one of the girl's grandfather." He explained.

"What kind of libraries have
you
been going to?" Jonas asked, aghast.

"I'm with the nerd, if this a Kingdom Hearts level I will flip something. Preferably a table," Amber replied, before drawing away from the group to round the circular chamber close to the curving bookcases, as if trying to do exactly what she had said prior to try and observe the room from a different angle.

Logan shrugged. "That one was down in the city." He watched the girl circle the room, waiting to see if she found something.

"Logan." The man nodded. "And in that case, I'm number zero, because zero is lower than one, so it's better!" He shook his fist at Jonas.

"Amber!" the girl added to the conversation, while having stopped at some point to take books off the shelves and stack them into a makeshift step stool, upon which she was now standing with a furrowed expression.
