A clicking sound echoed in Logan's ears. After a moment, he pin-pointed the source.
He was out of ammo. Completely. Grumbling, the marine tossed one of his last grenades into the zerg; letting it explode as he rushed forward and ahead of the APC. Swinging his gun, he sliced through a zergling, ramming another one out of the way as he tried to make his way through the sea of hostiles.

A hydra spike left a slash across the firebat's armor, narrowly missing his flesh. Alistair suppressed a shudder, remembering all too well what was waiting for Horace Warfield, and turned the serpentine alien into a charred carcass. A ling slammed into his knees, almost tackling him, and before Mercer incinerated it, managed to stab him into the right hip. Alistair let out a muffled yelp of pain.

Alex once again revved his tank, driving right over the zerg to open a pathway, and shooting a shell into the Nydus for good measure.

Logan felt something extremely irritating against his back. It was hard, somewhat pointy, and most definately in his suit.
Glanding at his back, he saw a zergling clinging to him with its claw stabbed into his suit; having just missed his back and now trapped as it tried to wiggle free while screaming.
The marine brought his fist down, smashing its face in and stopping it from wiggling. Figuring he would deal with it later, he slashed into another roach. "Almost there!"

"Medic!" Alistair growled, having been forced to go down on one knee to keep balance. His leg hurt like hell, and all he could to block out the pain was to concentrate on the zerg and the cleansing fire.

," Soren commed as several marines started firing from the starport.
Alex flipped the gun on his tank around, driving forward while aiming backwards, and started firing into the incoming zerg.

"I'll clear a path!" Logan shouted, dropping his last few grenades into the zerg as he ran for the ramp. The explosion rocked out behind him, shredding the zerg between him and the APC to bits and leaving an open trail that was filling back up fast.
The marine raised a hand to the Malitia at the starport, catching a magazine as he was tossed one and opening fire on the swarm. "COME ON!"

Alistair considered gritting his teeth and suppressing an urge to yell in pain some more, but failed. He resorted then to cackling loudly, an occasional tear streaming down his cheek, as he stood there genuflected, a wall of fire in front of him.
"No sense saving up for later," he thought aloud through bursts of truly hysterical laughter, releasing his remaining napalm rocket into the midst of the swarm.

Logan coughed. "Yippee." He commented, pulling the dead zergling free from his back and tossing it as the monsters. He made his way further up the ramp with the other forces, unloading on the Zerg below them.
