Amy cringed against her churning stomach. All the sights and sounds were begging her to vomit all over the cockpit, and she was sure she had already swallowed some that had threatened to come up and out. She was attacking as fast as she good, but more and more zerg just kept coming.
Including mutalisks.
The airborne creatures spotted the Banshee and chittered, spitting globs of acidic goo at the aircraft, causing it to waver and panic.

Logan looked upwards at a screeching noise. "*BEEP*! Mutas!" He shouted to the other marines, trying to helf his rifle to get a good shot.
His left arm refused to rise far enough, forcing him to simply spray upwards. His hope was to fill the sky with so many bullets he would at least hit something.

The newest firebat of the Raiders had three napalm rockets remaining. He decided that taking a shot was worth a try, and launched one, homing, into the flock of the flying zerg.

Amy's Banshee rattled as the rockets exploded into the zerg, and she rammed her aircraft forward to keep it moving with the APC. It scattered the remaining mutalisks enough that they were picked off by marines, the corpses falling to the ground and peppering the forces below.
"
Report: You're half-way there, soldiers,
" Madison stated over the comm, breaking through the chaotic mess that was the channel. "
Nydus worms are launching near limitless forces at our chokepoints. Reinforcements are coming but they may not manage to reach you. Biosignatures are still dropping through the atmosphere, so expect another wave soon."
"You heard the gist of it! GET MOVING!" Nora shouted, kicking a zergling corpse away and trekking through the Creep after the APC.

Alistair sighed, biting down a snappy comeback and falling in line. His leg was more or less useable now, and his fuel tanks were far, far from depleted.
"Into the fires of battle, unto the anvil of war," he murmured under his nose with a light smirk.

Amy swallowed, shooting at some of the eggs that fell from the sky before they could hatch, leaving a smaller group of zerglings to assault the group.
"Roaches up ahead! Get the marauders in front!" Nora ordered, pointing ahead at a swarm of the heavily armored zerg that were rushing towards them.

Alistair knew firebats were supposed to be fighting at the front lines, but he also knew that he was ill-equipped to deal with roaches. He moved over to the right flank, hoping that the acid-spitting zerg would be at the center of their horde.

Amy pulled her Banshee forward ahead of the APC, summoning up some amount of courage to preemptively clear some of the Zerg ahead on the road. She grimaced, catching a glimpse of the fires in the distance at the last chokepoint, where the zerg were overwhelming the defenders.
Nora cursed as one of the marines next to her was shot down by a hydralisk spine to his visor. She chucked a flash grenade at the creature, waving others to shoot it down.

Logan sprayed at the Hydra, dropping it by the sheer number of bullets filling its vicinity.
His rifle clicked and the marine reloaded, noting his rapidly depleating number of magazines.
"Fives mags left..." He commented, opening fire again.

He had made it a point to refill his fuel tanks each time they returned to the base, so now Mercer did not have to worry too much about running out of fiery death for the zerg. Though he did have only two rockets left, and decided to save them for Nydus worms. Cackling quietly under his nose, he poured cleansing flames unto the hydras at his flank.

"ZEKE!" Nora shouted, skidding away from the rest of the group to where the Marauder had landed.
Amy stared out the windshield at Nora and Zeke, before trying to focus her attention on getting the road clear. The others could handle the Nydus worm. She could see the starport from here! They were almost there!

Mercer let out one short sprout of profanities, launching one of the rockets right into the worm's maw before turning back to fry the hydras nearest to him.
