Macroing Blood Tap with other abilities?
Return to board index
(Frost DW) - Is it feasible to have Blood Tap macro'd to one of my other attacks/abilities, to save the number of key presses/cooldowns to keep track of, or will it end up messing up my rotation/priority order too much? Compared to using it manually? Compared to not using it at all?
Will frost (which i havent messed with a whole lot.) i make a castsequence macro for Outbreak>Pestilence(if you are attacking a group of mobs) or Bloodstrike (if you are on a single target) > Blood Tap.
What this does is after you BS or Pestilence then hit blood tap it activates both blood runes and turns them into death runes. Not sure if this is supposed to be how it works but it does.
I then Macro my trinket (Jewelcrafting +1400 strength for 20 seconds) to my Obliterate which I am able to spam 3 times.
Frost is very fun IMO. I roll Blood for everything from solo world play to PVP though just because the survivability is crazy.
Get Power Auras and set up a aura so that you know when you are almost capped on Runic Power so your not wasting frost strikes.
If you have any other questions just ask.
why is my post not showing up?
I also Macro Pillar of Frost to Obliterate. I forgot to mention this. Extremely high burst damage. Hope you have a good tank.
I recommend Duel Wield build With Razor Ice on one weapon and either the cinder glacer one or the crusader one on the other. I havent noticed a real big difference dps wise between the two.
With junk gear and no buffs im able to maintain 8k dps on the epic boss training dummy. Not sure what it would be in dungeons or PVP.
Oblits crit for about 20k usually.
Okay. So when i use blood tap. I just use it. No macro allowed. Blood tap is situational tap. When my blood rune is avaible i rune tap and there. I got free strike.
EDIT: mother tongue corrections
Like i said before its best to make the macro i gave you. What it does is lets you use a blood rune then you hit blood tap and it reactives that blood rune into a death rune and turns your other Unactived blood rune into a death rune also allowing a extra Obliterate. If you just hit Blood Tap when its up and both blood runes are off of CD then its just going to turn one blood rune into a death rune and you cannot obliterate with that. Obliterates are you Main Damage dealer.
