You only need honered with Golden Lotus to buy pve patterns from
Jaluu the Generous
. Not that big of a grind .
Also some patterns drop of raid trash .

There's 20 or so PVP LW craftable patterns and it's not about if you pvp or not. Get yourself a few of the patterns to cap at 600. Then you're going to have to grind the Golden Lotus to get the tier 1 raid patterns after that.
Don't forget, as a LW, you'll need to SoH's. So get the Tillers rep up to revered and farm your 16 motes a day.
