There's an AddOn called QuestHelper. I got it, and it helped me get all my quests done with a minimum of downtime. And instead of printing it out to read or alt-tabbing to see where to go next, it shows you where to go with little lines and marks overlayed onto your game map and minimap.

I know a good 20-60 leveling guide for horde but not for Alliance, sorry.
But for 60-70, I recommand you to follow this guide:

IT IS NOT THE FASTEST but it will give you the best rep and gold efficiency during your leveling. Dont rush your Outland leveling, you will hate running 60s instances at 70.

Here is my power leveling guide! No tipping required!
Power Leveling Guide: Simply follow the instructions and you too will get your character up in no time. This is primarily geared towards soloing.
1. See quest.
2. Accept quest.
3. Complete quest
4. Turn in quest. (Kill everything in between)
• Avoid group quests & instances if possible unless the quest reward if very cool.
• Stay the heck out of battlegrounds unless you’re a twink or level 70.
• Use WOWHEAD.COM or THOTTBOT.COM to find out about your quests and how to complete them.
• Ask guild members for help on group quests when you have a few in the same area. Guild members can be quite helpful just don’t over use them. They have characters they need to level as well.
Red quests are just plain impossible without a much higher level “hired gun” character to assist AND you will annoy them since you will most likely be aggroing everything around them. If you have a full group of 5 and want to try it that would be fine, otherwise, just wait until the quest color lowers.
Orange quests are somewhat reasonable to do if you have the hired gun character and they usually offer a good amount of XP when completed.
Yellows can normally be soloed though get difficult at the higher levels. Any other character about your level that can help will typically allow you to be victorious.
Green/Grey quests should also be done since they are relatively simple compared to your level. No matter what THEY STILL GIVE YOU XP until level 70 so don’t be afraid to complete them. Also, they will typically give you reputation points with a given faction.

Good advice, especially if you download QH. Then it goes like this:
1.See Quest(s)
2. Accept Quest(s)
3. Complete Quest
4. Complete Quest
5. Complete Quest
(etc.)
9. Turn in quests (killing everything in between, of course)
As far as your description of quest colors, I've done oranges with the help of 1-2 people of the same level, so it's not completely out of the question if you don't have a lvl70 friend.
