Too bad Blizzard is already upping the drop rate for 5.1 tier LFR next patch, and going to make it so that the Loot bags don't just drop gold.

What I don't get is why people feel the need to post about things for which a topic hasn't been created yet. People do this over on the wow forums all the time too. If you've got a counter argument to thread in progress, feel free to add your comments to it, but I don't understand the need to garner attention by pre-posting about things that aren't in complaint threads already.
Cheers.

Um...da hell are you talking about? That's not what is going in....
Edit: All Blizzard is doing is tuning the drop rates in 5.2, to make items drop a little bit more. There is no increasing number based upon the number of weeks you don't get any loot. And the Loot Bags are merely going to be filled with fun items or possibly the current trash epic drops that can come from the instance.

I simply stated that my experience demonstrates that RANDOM means RANDOM, providing my own opinion, you don't like it make your own attention grabbing ..
Not to be mean, but we already know that what you get is random. Almost everything in WoW is random.
And if there was a thread like that on Wowhead, it probably would have been better to post it there. But sadly I don't see one, and haven't seen one in a while.

I have just skimmed over the patch notes again, to see if I missed something, and I didn't see anything about them modifying the LFR loot rolls to increase chances for items to drop for each unsuccessful roll. I think that people are confused, OP, because it seems like you are saying that an idea that hasn't been implemented and no one has talked about implementing (at least not on wowhead) is unfair, and you like the current system better. It seems odd, because normally when people make up a change to the game that doesn't yet exist, it's because they like the idea, or want feedback on it. Very few people create threads along the lines of "Here's this idea that I had, and it's absolutely terrible, so they should never do it."
Is there some thread somewhere, or some new announcement about them changing the way loot rolls work so that it increases loot chance with every consecutive loss? It might help the context if you linked either the announcement or the discussion thread you're referencing.
Also, I'd like to remind everyone that clarification about what someone means in their post, and debate over their posts, should be voiced civilly and politely. If this IS something new, or something people have been discussing elsewhere as a potential idea, it would be nice to let people have the discussion without the thread derailing or people starting to insult each other.(##RESPBREAK##)8##DELIM##ElhonnaDS##DELIM##

A) this is america, it's called FREEDOM of SPEECH
No, this is the Internet. More than that, this is a moderated forum on the Internet that is not subject to any one particular nation's set of laws. This is not a democracy; we do not elect our moderators. It is solely up to them alone--not the U.S. Bill of Rights--whether or not any "speech" of yours remains posted on their website.
And please, don't spread false information about upcoming patches. It's bad form.
C) if you bothered to READ my comments I am NOT complaining, dissing or even suggesting how Blizzard can do this BETTER.
Nowhere in lankybrit's post did I see that implied. Perhaps you should have taken your own advice and bothered reading what he wrote.

Hmm. I have absolutely no idea what kind of discussion this thread is supposed to be encouraging.
Random loot is random, aye.
I completely agree that loot biasing should never be done, but to the knowledge of multiple people in this thread, it isn't being done. Maybe I'm missing the point, but it does seem like a condescending post toward people who vent their frustrations over a dry spell in raid loot.

Sure sign that someone is either very young, or has a bad education. Freedom of Speech (1st Amendment) gives you the right to voice your opinions anywhere public. So now, go stand on a street corner somewhere and shout about your ´great idea´. WOWHEAD is a private company and I am not even sure if it based in the USA anway.. and thus, the only thing you are allowed to do is stand on the street (public) outside wowhead headquarters and yell your wonderful ideas at their building.
B) There are topics, but the THREADS are long, and they go ON forever.
´hey, look at me, I didn´t bother reading what you said, but what I say is super important.
I am guessing 15 years old.. anyone else?

The chance for winning an item in LFR is going from 15% (appx) to 30%(appx), but it is still a simple loot roll that doesn´t look at your history to see how often you have won, nor should it. Because if that is the case, then people will just get p/o´d if their bonus was reset after they won a duplicate item or something they didn´t need. In other words, if I really want that sword from the last boss, and have lost the roll on it for 8 weeks straight, how would you implement a feature to where my ´bonus´ didn´t get disolved because I won a downgrade neck item on the boss right before him. So then what? we want the system to keep track on a ´per item´ basis.. where if I haven´t won my sword in 8 tries, then my chance to win that one item is increased? We want the game to keep track of every item and if it is an upgrade, and then how many times you lost on that item?
There is no need for a new system that only makes a mess of things anyway.
