I took Enchanting/Mining becuase of the money gains and mats for my JC, so she can make me sweet rings and cool headgear with +mana/healing.
About the healing in leather/cloth I agree with etype55, go with cloth for healing.

As a healer Stats > armor type. Go with whatever gives you the most +heal/mp5.
Absolutally. Same goes for balance. Feral you NEED the leather for the higher armor values, and also because feral stats on cloth... Yeah right.

jup, stats dont matter for healers/casters
but, if you wanna take LW OR tailoring i would suggest LW, since you can make tanking stuff, but also healing stuff(correct me if im wrong)
with tailoring you can only make cloth, wich is for casters/healers
