Sorry about the cheesy topic name.
Around 1 year ago, I quit WoW after having playing it for over 4 years, and sometimes I really have an urge to start playing the game again. I thought that it was kinda normal since it is so addictive, but recently I found out that my brother-in-law (you say that, right?), who was pretty addicted to the game and had stopped playing around 3 years ago was still suffering from withdrawal from the game (I don't know if withdrawal fits here).
So I was hoping that somebody who has stopped playing WoW and is still lurking around on the forums could tell me if he has experienced something like me, and how he worked it out.
Thanks for reading it, looking forward to read the comments.

I stopped playing WoW a few months ago, because I realized that I wouldn't have time to raid. Anyway, I still get a slight urge to play, but only when I'm bored. As long as I have something to do, I don't even think about WoW. I do go to wowhead for the off-topic forum, even though I think most of those guys are just $%^&s (jk! <3).

I have the opposite problem.. I'm trying to play again but I kinda just stop logging in after a few weeks without even realizing it.

Well using wow forums to lerarn how to quit Wow is like using night clubs to cue alcholism.
A quick google search netted this tasty link:
http://www.dailystrength.org/support-groups/Addiction-Recovery
I have quit wow three times now, after capping 4 toons to 60, then five to 70 and etc etc.
I generally will wash WoW out of my system by playing some old game for a while until I remember that they are just suppsed to be fun.
Front Mission Four is generally the one I start on.

While I thank you for having found this link, I must say that I am (was) not addicted to the game so much that I need(ed) treatment or anything :P. I'm merely feeling a bit nostalgic memories and such that want to begin again.

I guess that, as the subscription owner, you can come and go as you please :)
