yeah, the pet seeing through stealth is the most OP thing i have ever seen. as a PVPer, its really quite stupid that - altho people might think im bad mannered - when try to go OOC in arenas and drink my star's tears, that god d@mn hunter pet can just run right up and start smacking away after like 3 seconds it took for it to run down the ramp after me

Don't forget that hunters can track beasts (which is what you are in cat form) and see you without any problems :)

/target playername doesn't take into account LoS and there are mods that will pop any enemies you mouse over into a little box that you can click on to target that player. If the hunter was watching and targeted you when you rezed, the pet may have already been on the way when you stealthed. At that point, if it's close enough to see you, it won't make a difference.
