for PvP slam is very situational, it is mostly used to push an enemy isnt execute range without using high rage cost moves like MS or WW and as said before its best used after your white swing not spammed. From a PvE perspective Slam is only really good with a 2h (due to the way it works) and is extremly important to pick up if your going to raid dps with a 2h.
