You can switch anytime. Both buffs cost no mana.

You need the Spell Power. Priests are still squishy. Burst and cleave teams still exist. Some classes that did not have them before have gotten newfound CCs and Stuns (Boomkin, Warrior) while the masters of CC have already gotten even more tools (Rogue's Smoke Bomb, Mage's Ring of Frost). You need all the healing you can get in a pinch.

You need the Armor + Spell Damage reduction (with talents, surely you didn't spec into Smite + Archangel, cause you'll rarely get time to Smite. And even if you do, it's better spent on Mana Burning or easily done and even more painful with Mind Spike, plus getting pummeled out of Mind Spike allows you to still heal).

You should be using the Glyph at the Priest's current state. Brown and yellow are still the two class colors you'll dread seeing the most.

You should already be using Lavawalker or another Boot Movement Speed enchant.

Switching costs a GCD, switching back and forth costs GCDs. Why waste time?
