The ancient Greco-Roman religion had far more influence 2-3 thousand years ago than Judaism, but it's not considered a major religion today. The Jews make up 0.22% of the world population. They may have been a major world religion once upon a time, but not anymore.

Maybe your argument is valid, but that still doesn't change the fact that the three religions are very similar.

So because it was a major religion 2,000 years ago, that makes it one of the major religions of today? Because Germany was a superpower 70 years ago, that makes it a superpower today. Because the ancient Greco-Roman religion was the dominant western religion 2-3 thousand years ago, that makes it a major religion today.
Do you see how that doesn't make sense? Sure, in history in played a big role, but it doesn't today.
Yes, there is no doubt that those three religions are all very closely related.

Ok, so by now you should realize that the difference between, say Buddhism and Islam, and Judaism and Islam are not the same. So, we can actually say that something in the other religion is no longer necessary. Mytie pretty much summarized it up pretty good earlier, Christianity was made (by the same God) to correct/amend a few things in Judaism, same thing with Christianity and Islam. Buddhism, for example, was not made by the same God.

It doesn't have a direct influence today (at least not much). That's like saying that Roman Empire has major influence today because it shaped much up modern Europe two thousand and more years ago. It did things that shaped the world into what it is today, but it no longer plays a major role.

That doesn't make Judaism any more prominent or Hinduism and Buddhism any less prominent.

I think that Christianity broke off because the beliefs were different. Christians believe that Jesus is the Messiah. Jews are still waiting for a messiah.
