Which I discussed, bringing up how it may not have been God's intention, and how it was very progressive inhibitations on slavery for the time, and brought up other passages that show how the Bible is obviously not all about slavery.

The bible is supposed to be the word of God. If it says it's ok to beat your slave as long as he/she doesn't die, you can't just say "oh well God didn't really want that to happen". If the bible really taught timeless values, then you wouldn't be able to say that it was progressive "for it's time".

The Imperial Order would think humans are inherently evil.
As for me, I think more in the John Locke ideal (born neither good or evil, and can reason)
